The Ecumenical Frontlines

While most of the news and web postings about ecumenism concern “public” matters (e.g. Dulles’ article on Saving Ecumenicism From Itself), I think the real ecumenical frontlines where folks partake of the sufferings of Christ, groaning for healing of wounds, are within the marriages where faithful spouses struggle with their theological differences (for want of a better phrase). Just as I appreciate prayers for MaryAlice and I (AMiA Anglican & Roman Catholic), I pray our Lord will sustain Michael & Denise.

While dangerous, frontlines of any type have somewhat compensating advantages, perhaps.
