At Charisma there is a article, with extensive comments, looking back on the Lakeland/Bentley affair. While I agree with Grady article, as far as it goes, for me the most troubling aspect of the whole matter was not Bentley, whom sensible folks would have distrusted long before the final fiasco. Rather, the reaction of folks like Bill Johnson was, for me, even more disturbing and confirms my skepticism about charismatic ecclesiology.
